32,690 visitors flock to Ancol during Eid al-Adha holiday
PT Pembangunan Jaya Ancol Tbk recorded 32,690 visitors to its North Jakarta family tourism destination during the Eid al-Adha 1447 Hijriah holiday on Wednesday.
Daniel Windriatmoko, Corporate Communications at PT Pembangunan Jaya Ancol, said: “We recorded 32,690 visitors by 6pm.”
He said the most visited areas were the coastal beaches within Ancol, including Carnival Beach, Lagoon Beach, Festival Beach, and others. Additionally, Dufan (Fantasy World), Sea World, Samudera Ancol, and Jakarta Bird Land (JBL) were also popular among visitors.
For the Eid al-Adha 1447 Hijriah celebrations, PT Pembangunan Jaya Ancol Tbk adopted the theme ‘The Spirit of Sacrifice in Ancol’s Transformation’. Daniel stated that the theme was chosen to strengthen brotherhood and demonstrate a commitment to continued growth through collaboration, mutual care, and sustainable transformation.
Earlier, PT Pembangunan Jaya Ancol Tbk held a collective Eid al-Adha prayer at Ancol Lagoon Beach on Wednesday morning. PT Pembangunan Jaya Ancol Tbk’s Managing Director Syahmudrian Lubis delivered the sermon, while Imam of Ancol’s Baiturrahman Mosque, Taufiqurrahman, led the prayer.
Syahmudrian said the spirit of sacrifice reflects care and solidarity, and is part of the company’s transformation towards sustainability. He added that the positive energy built collectively forms a crucial foundation for stronger and more adaptable company performance.
“We also express empathy towards others, particularly the surrounding communities. These values are consistently conveyed in all Ancol’s Eid al-Adha activities,” Syahmudrian said.
Through its Eid al-Adha sacrificial animal programme, Ancol distributed livestock to underprivileged communities, social and religious institutions, and partners around the Ancol area. “The distribution not only fulfils religious obligations but also strengthens brotherhood and harmonious community ties,” Syahmudrian concluded.
