31 Subdistricts in Bogor Regency Hit by Drought, Government Distributes 1.8 Million Litres of Clean Water
The Bogor Regency Government has distributed approximately 1.8 million litres of clean water to tackle a drought affecting 31 subdistricts. Bogor Regent Rudy Susmanto stated that the distribution is an anticipatory measure ahead of the peak of the dry season, which the Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) predicts will occur in August 2026. According to data from the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), the water crisis has impacted 132 villages and urban wards. Of the total 1,847,000 litres distributed between 10 June and 7 August 2026, 1,439,000 litres were delivered directly to residents, while 408,000 litres were used to fill communal storage tanks. The aid also targeted health facilities, places of worship, and schools affected by the crisis.
