3,000 people attend Mayor installment

PALU, Central Sulawesi: At least 3,000 Palu residents attended inauguration ceremony of newly elected Palu Mayor and Deputy Mayor Rusdi Mastura and Suardin Suebo on Wednesday.

Breaking the tradition, the inauguration ceremony on Wednesday was held in an open field, Vatulemo field in the city downtown, allowing as many people to watch the function.

In the ceremony, Central Sulawesi Governor Aminuddin Ponulele inaugurated the pair under watchful eyes of the thousands of people attending the function.

Rusdi is the chairman of Golkar Party's Palu branch, while Suardin is the former Mayor of Palu. -- Antara
