300 to compete in drag race

JAKARTA (JP): Some 300 local drivers have confirmed their
entry in the national drag race championship opener in Sentul,
near Bogor, West Java on April 5.

Committee official Rio Sarwono said Wednesday that the
organizers had planned to hold seven series this year. He said
five legs would take place in Sentul while the other two in South
Sulawesi and Central Java.

The championship opening leg will feature 11 categories,
including three free-for-all races, up to 1,500 cc and up to
1,800 cc divisions. (lnt)
