30 Streetlights on Jalan Raya Bogor Jaktim Fail Due to Cable Theft

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – The East Jakarta Public Works and Public Facilities Office regards 30 street lighting points along Jalan Raya Bogor as out of service due to cable supply cable theft. “Lights are out in that area due to cable theft at 30 points,” said Yanuar Ikhsan, Head of Infrastructure, Facilities, Utilities, and Public Lighting at the East Jakarta Public Works Sub-Department, when contacted via WhatsApp on Tuesday (19 May 2026). “For the lights that had gone out, we have repaired them all, now.” Yanuar also urged the public to help protect public lighting assets and other infrastructure. According to a video uploaded by kabarcibubur24jam, several streetlights on Jalan Raya Bogor, near the Cibubur traffic light, were out.
