30% Rail Ticket Discount for Departures 9–20 March
PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) has launched a homecoming promotional programme as part of ‘Ramadan Festive 2026’. It is a regular promo offering discounts of up to 30%. Citing KAI’s official Instagram account (@kai121_), ticket bookings will open on 9 March 2026 from 00:00 WIB. The following are the terms and conditions. - Discount fare purchases can be made across all sales channels on 9 March 2026. - Discount fares are valid for departures from 9 to 20 March 2026. - Discount fares do not apply to luxury trains, compartments, and sightseeing trains. - Discount fares do not apply to special fares and cannot be combined with other reductions and/or discounts. - Tickets at discounted fares may be cancelled and the schedule changed in accordance with applicable regulations. - Schedules and train listings can be viewed via the Access by KAI app. - Valid while ticket allocation and discount fares remain available. How to Cancel a Train Ticket Online. According to official information from KAI, here is how to cancel a train ticket online via Access by KAI. - The cancellation applicant is the passenger concerned or one of the passengers whose data is registered in the Access by KAI app and using the applicant’s Access by KAI account. - Cancellation via the Access by KAI app can be made no later than two hours before the train departs and the booking code must be in ‘Paid’ status. - If this deadline is missed, cancellation must be processed at the station counter. - For ticket cancellations, a fee of 25% of the ticket price is charged, in addition to booking fees. - Refund of the cancellation fee is estimated to take 7 days from the cancellation request. - Refunds of the fee are made only via bank transfer or E-Wallet. - Refunds can be credited to the bank account of one of the passengers listed in the cancelled booking; the name and bank account number entered must match the name and number on the bank account. - If there is an error in entering the name or bank account number by the customer, the cancellation will be rejected by the system, and the passenger may cancel manually at the station counters designated by the company. - If the refund transfer fails, the passenger will be notified via SMS and email and is entitled to receive the cancellation fee for the cancelled ticket within up to 1 year from the cancellation process. - If the cancellation fee is not collected within 1 year of the cancellation, the fee becomes the property of the company. - Online cancellations are also possible if the ticket was purchased via an online site other than the Access by KAI app. The booking code can be entered into ‘Tambahkan Tiket’ and the name on the ticket must be registered as a user in Access.
