30 Percent Toll Rate Discount to Apply from Nine Days Before Eid 2026
Jakarta – The Indonesian government has announced that a 30 percent toll rate discount will begin applying nine days before Eid 2026. This incentive forms part of an economic stimulus package designed to boost consumer purchasing power.
Public Works Minister Dody Hanggodo confirmed that the toll rate discount will apply across all toll road segments, consistent with the Eid 2025 arrangement.
“Eight days, nine days if I recall correctly,” Hanggodo stated in Semarang, Central Java, on Monday, 2 March 2026.
“All (segments). Same as last year, exactly the same. The only difference is that last year the toll rate discount was 20 percent, now it is 30 percent,” he added.
Hanggodo explained that the toll rate discount aims to reduce traffic congestion in the period leading up to the peak Eid holiday exodus.
“In this way we hope that holiday travellers can depart earlier, and those returning can also leave earlier,” Hanggodo said.
Previously, the government allocated Rp12.83 trillion for an economic stimulus package in the first quarter of 2026, which includes transport ticket discounts, toll rate reductions, and social assistance. The stimulus will be distributed during the February-March 2026 period.
Coordinating Minister for the Economy Airlangga Hartarto stated that from the total budget allocation, Rp200 billion was allocated for transport discounts, whilst social assistance reached approximately Rp12 trillion.
