PT Jasa Marga announced that a 30 per cent toll tariff discount from Cikampek North toll gate to Kalikangkung toll gate reduced vehicle volume during peak homecoming traffic on 18 March 2026. Vice President Corporate Secretary and Legal of PT Jasa Marga Transjawa Tol, Ria Marlinda Paalo, stated in Karawang on Sunday that the tariff discount policy was designed to encourage travellers to depart earlier than peak mudik hours.

“This is part of our traffic management strategy to inform all road users so they can select times when toll discounts apply, thereby reducing peak homecoming congestion which is quite heavy,” she said.

Evidence of the policy’s effectiveness appeared in vehicle volume data. By 15 March 2026, over 60,000 vehicles had passed through Cikampek North toll gate across three shifts.

“We recorded 60,000 vehicles by 15 March 2026 across shifts one through three. This shows good enthusiasm from road users in taking advantage of the toll discount,” she added.

PT Jasa Marga implemented the toll discount during 15–16 March 2026 to support the 2026 Lebaran mudik period. The discount structure consisted of two categories. “A 30 per cent discount applies for continuous journeys from Cikampek North toll gate to Kalikangkung toll gate,” she explained.

On the Batang–Semarang stretch, a different discount rate of approximately 46 per cent was applied for road users passing continuously through Kalikangkung toll gate.

PT Jasa Marga opened 19 toll booths at Cikampek North toll gate in Karawang Regency, West Java, to accommodate the surge in vehicle numbers during the 2026 Lebaran mudik period. The Cikampek North toll gate, which normally operates 15 booths, was increased to 19 booths focused on serving vehicles travelling east from Jakarta via the Trans Java toll road, according to Ria.
