Semarang (ANTARA) - As many as 30 investors have been invited to attend the Central Java Investment Business Forum (CJIBF) 2026, to be held on 11-12 May by the Bank Indonesia Representative Office for Central Java Province in collaboration with the Central Java Provincial Government.

Head of the Central Java Investment and Integrated One-Stop Service Agency (DPMPTSP) Sakina Rosellasari in Semarang on Thursday stated that the prospective investors invited have undergone a verification process and have shown interest in investment opportunities in Central Java.

“For the investors, there are already around 30 on record, and we will follow this up through one-on-one meetings. We have conducted verification, and some have already shown interest,” she said.

She hopes that the business and investment meeting will result in initial investment commitments through written Letters of Interest.

“This is an opportunity for Central Java SMEs to promote themselves, as well as to open up partnership opportunities with businesses from other provinces,” she said.

Head of the BI Central Java Representative Office M. Noor Nugroho explained that the dozens of SMEs were selected based on quality and readiness to penetrate wider markets, including exports.

“There are around 75 SMEs that we have curated. The products are diverse, ranging from fashion, batik, crafts, home decor, furniture, to coffee,” he said.

This year’s CJIBF and UMKM Grande implementation is also synergised with the Governor’s Main Partner Regents Working Meeting (MPU) agenda, which will take place at the same time and is planned to be attended by 10 governors.

Meanwhile, Central Java Governor Ahmad Luthfi urged that the momentum be maximised to strengthen investment promotion, while introducing SME products to regional heads.

“That’s good. It’s together with the MPU Governor’s event, try to arrange it so they can be invited to the CJIBF event as well. And if there’s a ‘gala dinner’, it can be combined,” he said.
