30 ex-councillors quizzed over graft

JAMBI: The Jambi Prosecutor's Office is gathering evidence in a Rp 3.6 billion corruption case in Tebo regency allegedly involving 30 former Tebo council members.

Nudi D. Siburian of the Jambi Prosecutor's Office said on Monday that in addition to collecting data, prosecutors would soon question more witnesses over the case, including former lawmakers on the budget commission.

The Tebo Prosecutor's Office earlier questioned former Tebo regency speaker Sugianto over the same case. The lawmakers served between 1999 and 2004. -- JP
