3 OPM Members in Puncak Papua Pledge Return to NKRI
Three members of the Organisasi Papua Merdeka (OPM) in Puncak Regency, Central Papua, have pledged to return to the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI). The three are former OPM members from Kodap XXVIII/Sinak. “The TNI Papua Operational Command (Koops) has once again succeeded in having three former members of Kodap XXVIII/Sinak pledge to return to NKRI,” said Kapen Koops TNI Papua Lieutenant Colonel Inf M Wirya Arthadiguna, as reported by detikSulsel on Sunday (29/3/2026). The three former OPM members are Nikanus Murib, Arendis Murib, and Ois Tabuni. They made their pledge to return to NKRI in the courtyard of SD Inpres Sinak on Saturday (28/3). “The three individuals have officially pledged their loyalty to NKRI. In their pledge statement, they firmly declared that they will always be loyal to NKRI,” he said. They also rejected all forms of separatist movements and committed to resuming a better life through education, gardening, and supporting development in the Papua region, particularly in Sinak District. “This pledge is expected to be the starting point for change for the three former OPM members, so that they do not rejoin such groups,” he explained.
