3-on-3 basketball at Mega Mall

JAKARTA (JP): The newly built Pluit Mega Mall in Pluit, North Jakarta plans to hold daily three-on-three basketball competitions from Sept. 21 to Sept. 29.

Hermas Heru, the mall's marketing manager, said in a statement that the event is an effort to provide Jakartan teenagers with a positive activity. Students can sign up at the mall to participate.

"Taking part in sports like basketball, which is now very popular, is one of many positive measures for teenagers rather than just hanging around at a mall," he said.

Event coordinator M. Amir said that the competition will follow USBA and local basketball rules. (arf)
