3-in-1 failure

3-in-1 failure

From Kompas

Jakarta without traffic congestion would not be Jakarta. Efforts have been made to solve the traffic problem with such approaches as the three-in-one regulation in certain areas. This regulation has led to children and even adults offering themselves as additional passengers in order to earn money.

Ironically, the government wants to reduce traffic congestion, but at the same time it has embarked on the production of a national car. To make matters worse, no new roads are being built.

The three-in-one ruling has not served its purpose and needs to be reviewed. This will save the police the extra work and hassle of chasing away the "jockey" passengers.
