Polda Metro Jaya has harvested 3,000 eggs from a chicken farm in the Tambak Kampung Bagedor area of Muara Gembong, Bekasi Regency. The eggs were distributed to the Nutrition Service Unit (SPPG).

The harvest took place on Tuesday, 26 May 2026, and represents four days’ production from the poultry farm.

Senior Police Auditor Itwasda Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Pol Ardanto Nugroho, stated the initiative forms part of the force’s support for food security, particularly in ensuring protein availability for the public.

“This egg harvest is part of our efforts to support the availability of nutritious food supplies, especially protein sources for the community,” Ardanto said on Tuesday, 26 May 2026.

Kombes Ardanto confirmed the 3,000 eggs were immediately distributed to two SPPG points under the jurisdiction of Bekasi Metropolitan Police Resort: SPPG Cibatu and SPPG Jaya Mukti.

“The harvest is directly channelled to SPPG to ensure nutritious food needs are met and benefits reach the intended recipients,” he added.

The chicken farm occupies approximately 1,000 square metres and currently houses 1,000 laying hens with a daily productivity rate of around 80 per cent.

In addition to the poultry farm, Muara Gembong’s food zone includes a 49-hectare fish pond for cultivating tilapia, milkfish, mujair, and tiger shrimp. The area also features a goat farm currently caring for 50 goats.

Ardanto expressed hope that the integrated food management would continue to support sustainable access to healthy and nutritious food supplies.

“Through integrated management, we hope to maintain a steady supply of healthy and nutritious raw food materials,” he added.
