A total of 297 students of SMA Kemala Taruna Bhayangkara (KTB) have begun occupying their school building in Gunung Sindur, Bogor Regency, West Java. They consist of 117 first-year students and 180 second-year students. Teaching and learning activities for the first-year students were previously conducted at the Global Darussalam Academy complex in Pakem, Sleman, Special Region of Yogyakarta, while the building in Gunung Sindur was under construction. The new SMA KTB building is planned to be inaugurated in the near future. “Building human resources is the most strategic investment for Indonesia’s future. Through SMA Kemala Taruna Bhayangkara, the National Police aims to present an educational ecosystem that produces a superior generation, with character, mastery of science and technology, and readiness to become leaders capable of bringing Indonesia to compete at the global level,” said Deputy Chief of the Indonesian National Police, Commissioner General Dedi Prasetyo, during an operational readiness check of SMA KTB in Gunung Sindur on Tuesday (21/7/2026). The SMA KTB building consists of four floors. The ground floor functions as a practice-based learning centre with six laboratory rooms and other academic support facilities. The second, third, and fourth floors are used as classrooms, totalling 24 rooms with eight rooms on each floor. The school, established on the initiative of National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo to support President Prabowo Subianto’s Asta Cita vision, also features a modern library, a theatre building, a fitness centre, a swimming pool, an international-standard football pitch, a dining hall, male and female dormitories, a health room, and places of worship for six religions. “All these facilities are designed to create a safe, comfortable, and inclusive learning environment that supports character building, leadership, academic achievement, and talent development for students,” explained Commissioner General Dedi. The former Inspectorate General of General Supervision expressed hope that SMA KTB would make a real contribution to national education. On this occasion, Commissioner General Dedi also presided over the inauguration of the Daily Board of the Kemala Taruna Bhayangkara Educational Institution. “We want this school to be the birthplace of future national leaders who have integrity, a spirit of service, and a global outlook, yet remain firmly rooted in the values of Pancasila and nationalism,” said the former Assistant to the National Police Chief for Human Resources. During the inspection, students were undergoing pre-tests in Mathematics and English, as well as character-building activities. Some students were also practising for the drum band. Commissioner General Dedi noted that SMA KTB is certified for the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) from the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO). He affirmed the National Police’s commitment to producing a globally competitive young generation. “This is the National Police’s contribution to supporting President Prabowo’s Asta Cita through superior human resource development towards a Golden Indonesia 2045,” he said. The combination of the International Baccalaureate curriculum with the National Curriculum applied at SMA KTB, he continued, aims to shape students with critical thinking skills based on research, communication, collaboration, as well as fostering leadership spirit and science and technology capabilities.
