A total of 297 students of SMA Kemala Taruna Bhayangkara (KTB) have begun occupying their school building in Gunung Sindur, Bogor Regency, West Java. They comprise 117 students from the first intake and 180 students from the second intake.

Teaching and learning activities for the first intake had previously been carried out at the Global Darussalam Academy complex in Pakem, Sleman, Special Region of Yogyakarta, while the school building in Gunung Sindur was under construction. The new KTB senior high school building is planned to be inaugurated in the near future.

“Building human resources is the most strategic investment for Indonesia’s future. Through SMA Kemala Taruna Bhayangkara, the National Police wish to present an educational ecosystem that produces an outstanding generation, with strong character, mastery of science and technology, and ready to become leaders capable of taking Indonesia into global competition,” said Deputy National Police Chief Commissioner General Dedi Prasetyo while inspecting the operational readiness of SMA KTB in Gunung Sindur on Tuesday (21/7/2026).

The KTB school building consists of four floors. The first floor functions as a practice-based learning centre with six laboratories and other academic support facilities.

The second, third and fourth floors serve as classrooms. There are 24 classrooms in total, divided into eight rooms on each floor.

The school, established on the initiative of the Chief of Police, General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, in support of President Prabowo Subianto’s Asta Cita, also features a modern library, a theatre building, a fitness centre, a swimming pool, an international-standard football pitch, a communal dining hall, boys’ and girls’ dormitories, a health room, and places of worship for six religions.

“All of these facilities are designed to create a safe, comfortable and inclusive learning environment that supports character formation, leadership, academic achievement and talent development among students,” explained Commissioner General Dedi.

The former Inspector General for Supervision of the National Police expressed hope that SMA KTB will make a genuine contribution to national education. On this occasion, Commissioner General Dedi also led the inauguration of the Executive Board of the Kemala Taruna Bhayangkara Educational Institution (LP-KTB).

“We want this school to become the home where future leaders of the nation are born — leaders with integrity, a spirit of service and a global outlook, yet firmly rooted in the values of Pancasila and nationalism,” said the former Head of the Human Resources Department of the National Police.

During the inspection, students were sitting Mathematics and English pre-tests as well as taking part in character-building activities. Some students were also rehearsing with the drum band.

Commissioner General Dedi said SMA KTB has been certified for the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) by the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO). He affirmed the National Police’s commitment to producing a young generation capable of competing globally.

“This is the National Police’s contribution to supporting President Prabowo’s Asta Cita through the development of excellent human resources towards Golden Indonesia 2045,” he said.

The combination of the International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum with the National Curriculum applied at SMA KTB, Commissioner General Dedi continued, aims to shape students to think critically, conduct research, communicate and collaborate, as well as to cultivate a leadership spirit and capability in science and technology.
