29 Officers Injured in Clashes During Hotel Sultan Execution

The execution of a court order for Blok 15 of the Hotel Sultan in the Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) complex was marred by clashes, leaving 29 personnel injured. Kabid Humas Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Budi Hermanto stated during the operation on Thursday (18/6/2026) that 26 police officers suffered minor injuries from stone-throwing by the crowd. Additionally, one Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) member sustained an injury to the temple, and two civilians were also hurt. All injured individuals are currently receiving medical treatment.

The police have detained 69 individuals suspected of instigating the unrest during the execution process. Budi emphasised that obstructing the enforcement of a court ruling not only violates the law but also undermines the principle of res judicata pro veritate habetur, which holds that a court decision is considered the ultimate truth and is binding. He affirmed that the security operation was conducted professionally, proportionally, and accountably, urging the public to comply with directives.
