280,000 People Have Entered Bali Following Eid al-Fitr 2026
Bali’s Transportation Department has recorded 280,000 people entering the Island of the Gods following Eid al-Fitr 2026. This figure was captured at several entry points to Bali, namely Gilimanuk Port, Padangbai, Benoa, and I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport during the period of 22-24 March 2026.
An increase in passengers became evident starting from H+1 after Eid. At I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport, the number of domestic passengers rose to 32,000 people per day on H+2 after Eid. Meanwhile, international arrivals were recorded at an average of 20-21,000 people per day.
Increases were also observed on sea routes. At Gilimanuk Port, the number of incoming passengers began to rise from H+1 after Eid, averaging 34-50,000 people per day. At Padang Bai Port, the number of arriving passengers ranged from 5-6,000 people per day.
At Benoa Port, the passenger increase also started from H+1 after Eid, averaging 600-800 people per day. Meanwhile, passengers disembarking at Mengwi Type A Terminal were recorded at 1-2,000 people per day.
The Head of Bali’s Transportation Department, I Kadek Mudarta, stated that the trend of increasing passengers during the return flow of the Eid al-Fitr holiday is still ongoing until the end of the weekend.
“Our prediction is until Sunday, 29 March,” said Mudarta on Friday (27/3/2026).
