28,000 Workers from Bogor Depart for Monas to Celebrate May Day

One of the departure points for workers from Bogor heading to Monas was Pakansari Stadium. They departed using several buses. “We appreciate our fellow workers and sympathisers who have maintained order from the preparations until departure. Earlier, we began with congregational prayers to seek blessings and smoothness for today’s activities,” said Bogor Police Chief AKBP Wikha Ardilestanto to reporters on Friday (1/5/2026). According to Wikha, there were 80 departure points for workers from across Bogor Regency. At Pakansari alone, 5,800 workers departed for Monas. “The main group used 116 specially prepared buses. The departure route went through Sentul Alternative Road to the Jagorawi Toll with tight escort to ensure smooth traffic flow,” he said. Police have provided security at several worker departure points. Personnel deployment was carried out to guarantee the safety of the masses planning to hold the 2026 May Day event. “In addition, intensive coordination continues with the field coordinators (Korlap) of the worker masses,” he stated. Currently, all worker masses have departed from Bogor Regency. Personnel remain on standby to ensure smooth traffic flow along the routes passed by the masses.
