270 pupils lose school

BANDAR LAMPUNG, Lampung: Over 270 elementary school students
in the Bukit Kemuning subdistrict have lost their school that the
government closed down on the grounds that it was built in a
reserve forest.

The administration says that the Dwikora Elementary School
have to be closed down because all the residents in the area have
to be moved.

A member of the provincial legislative council Syajono said
the children were neglected because the closure of the school had
not been previously communicated by local administration to
related agencies, Antara reported.
