A total of 270 foreign nationals have applied for Emergency Residence Permits (ITKT). Additionally, 35 foreign nationals affected by flight cancellations due to the situation in the Middle East and meeting emergency administrative requirements have received exemptions from overstay fees. This data covers the period from 28 February 2026 to 8 March 2026.

Furthermore, 40 outbound flights from Bali to Doha, Dubai, and Abu Dhabi were cancelled between 28 February and 8 March 2026.

Felucia Sengky Ratna, Head of the Bali Regional Office of the Directorate General of Immigration, emphasised that her institution is committed to handling this situation with a humanitarian approach, whilst remaining firm in accordance with applicable regulations.

β€œThe Bali Immigration Office is fully committed to being proactive in providing certainty regarding easy and expeditious immigration services. However, at the same time, we also ensure that on-the-ground supervision remains strict so that the security and public order situation in the Bali region remains conducive and there are no loopholes for regulatory abuse,” Sengky stated firmly on Monday (9 March 2026).

Sengky also appealed to all foreign nationals affected by the flight cancellations to remain calm, report immediately to the nearest Immigration Office before their residence permits expire, and always comply with the laws and regulations in force in Indonesia.
