JAKARTA – The Government through the Ministry of Public Works has officially released a list of 29 toll road sections that will implement tariff discounts during the Idul Fitri 1447 Hijriah period. Twenty-six of these sections are offering a 30 per cent tariff reduction.

This measure is being taken as a technical instrument to mitigate vehicle accumulation during peak mudik (outbound) and balik (return) traffic periods.

“With this discount, we hope that travellers leave and return earlier than the predicted peak traffic times. Additionally, we expect more four-wheeled vehicles to use toll roads, thus reducing the burden on national roads,” said Dody Hanggodo to Kompas.com on Sunday (1 March 2026).

The tariff discount covers four major corridors across Indonesia:

  1. Trans Jawa Corridor

  2. Trans Sumatera Corridor

  3. Non Trans Jawa Corridor

  4. Jabodetabek Corridor

The tariff reduction applies to the furthest Barrier to Barrier rates using electronic payment methods.

Additionally, the Becakayu section has been providing a Dynamic Pricing discount of 10-20 per cent until 31 March 2026, and the Cibitung-Cilincing section is offering discounts of 12-44 per cent specifically for vehicle classes II-V until 30 April 2026.

The 30 per cent discount applies to all vehicle classes (I through V). However, technical conditions must be observed by road users:

The tariff reduction applies for four days on 15-16 March (outbound traffic) and 26-27 March 2026 (return traffic), except for the Tangerang-Merak section (12-13 March 2026 and 31 March-1 April 2026), Kayuagung-Palembang section (additional 14, 28 and 29 March 2026) and Cimanggis-Cibitung section (21-22 March 2026).

Beyond the fixed 30 per cent discount, certain sections also implement special policies. The Becakayu section applies Dynamic Pricing of 10-20 per cent until 31 March 2026. Meanwhile, the Cibitung-Cilincing section offers varying discounts of 12-44 per cent specifically for vehicle classes II-V until the end of April 2026.

Through this policy, the Ministry of Public Works aims to achieve more predictable traffic flow management and provide greater convenience to travellers willing to adjust their travel schedules to depart earlier.
