26 RTs in East Jakarta Flooded This Morning
BPBD DKI Jakarta reported the data as of 8:00 AM WIB on Monday, 25 May 2026. The flooding was triggered by heavy rainfall causing rising water levels at several water gates and monitoring posts.
“Currently, 26 RTs remain inundated,” stated BPBD DKI Jakarta Head Maruli Simanjuntak.
Maruli noted that the Katulampa Weir water gate is now at Alert Level 3, while the Pasar Ikan water gate is at Alert Level 2.
“Heavy rainfall across Jakarta and its surroundings has caused the water level at Katulampa Weir to reach Alert Level 3, Angke Hulu Post Alert Level 3, Pasar Ikan Water Gate Alert Level 2, and Depok Post Alert Level 3,” he added.
BPBD recorded all affected areas in East Jakarta, spanning four villages. Kampung Melayu village was the hardest hit with 16 inundated RTs, followed by Cawang with seven, Bidara Cina with two, and Cililitan with one.
BPBD DKI Jakarta has deployed personnel to monitor flood conditions and coordinate with the Water Resources Agency, Public Works Department, and Public Services Department to pump out water and ensure drainage systems function properly.
