259 Red and White Village Cooperatives in Temanggung Regency ready to operate

Temanggung (ANTARA) - A total of 259 Red and White Village/Sub-district Cooperatives (KDKMP) in Temanggung Regency, Central Java, are ready to operate, while nine other sites are still in the process of completion.

Commander of Military District Command 0706/Temanggung, Lieutenant Colonel Inf Richie Fadly, said in Temanggung on Wednesday that the nine sites still under construction had on average reached progress of around 80 to 90 per cent.

“We are optimistic that the entire construction of KDKMP in 268 villages and sub-districts can be completed within approximately one week,” he said.

He noted that the total number of villages and sub-districts in Temanggung Regency reaches 289. Thus, there remain 21 villages or sub-districts that will be included in the second phase of KDKMP construction.

According to him, during the construction process a number of obstacles were encountered, but these were overcome thanks to coordination and cooperation with village governments and various related parties.

“Alhamdulillah, during the process there may have been obstacles, but we were able to overcome them. So far, cooperation with the village side, especially those who will become the full beneficiaries of this KDKMP, has been very helpful,” he said.

In addition, he said, coordination regarding permits has also been carried out with the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda) and relevant regional apparatus organisations (OPD).

He stated that the launch of the KDKMP is still awaiting the completion of facilities and infrastructure to be placed at each site. A number of items such as outlets, CCTV, air conditioning units, and other supporting facilities are still in the process of distribution.

He said the distribution of these items is being carried out by PT Agrinas Nusantara to all KDKMP sites. The distribution process is currently ongoing.
