256 East Jakarta Civil Service Police Personnel to Maintain Order During Ramadan
Jakarta (ANTARA) - A total of 256 Civil Service Police (Satpol PP) personnel in East Jakarta are on standby to maintain order during the holy month of Ramadan 1447 Hijriah/2026.
“A total of 256 Satpol PP personnel are ready to strengthen security and remain on standby to ensure order during Ramadan,” said the Head of the East Jakarta Administrative City Satpol PP, Muhammadong, in Jakarta on Thursday.
Muhammadong stated that the heightened security measures emphasise the importance of vigilance and personnel readiness during Ramadan.
He called on all ranks to strengthen territorial surveillance, particularly in maintaining public order and community peace.
“The momentum of Ramadan must be safeguarded together so that the public can carry out their worship safely, comfortably and with devotion,” said Muhammadong.
The personnel readiness also aims to enhance security and environmental comfort across the East Jakarta area to create a conducive, safe and peaceful atmosphere throughout Ramadan.
“All personnel are expected to be alert, responsive, and continue to prioritise a humanistic approach in carrying out every duty,” he said.
Personnel have also been instructed to conduct routine patrols, monitor potential public order disturbances, and coordinate with the Indonesian Armed Forces (TNI), National Police, and related agencies to ensure territorial stability is maintained.
With these preparations in place, the East Jakarta Administrative City Satpol PP is committed to providing the best service to the public in supporting the smooth conduct of worship during Ramadan 1447 Hijriah.
Previously, the East Jakarta Satpol PP held a readiness muster at the East Jakarta Administrative Mayor’s Office compound on Wednesday (18 February).
The muster was attended by 256 Satpol PP members from across East Jakarta, involving Rapid Response Unit (URC) members, the Satpol PP Intelligence Unit, the Community Protection Unit (Satlinmas), and the deployment of 56 Operational Service Vehicles (KDO).
Meanwhile, the East Jakarta Metropolitan Police have established 27 integrated posts spread across the area to support Operation Pekat (Social Ills) Jaya whilst also preventing brawls ahead of Ramadan 2026.
Operation Pekat Jaya 2026 is part of centralised instructions from the Jakarta Metropolitan Police Command (Polda Metro Jaya), implemented simultaneously across the Polda Metro Jaya jurisdiction, including East Jakarta.
These posts involve various elements, ranging from the police, East Jakarta Municipal Government, TNI/National Police, Military District Command (Kodim) 0505, through to community elements.
Each integrated post is staffed by 20 personnel on standby. Of this number, 10 personnel come from the police, both from the East Jakarta Metropolitan Police and Polda Metro Jaya.
The remaining 10 personnel comprise Satpol PP officers, Kodim 0505 East Jakarta members, and community elements near the post locations.
The integrated posts operate based on vulnerability level analysis. Posts are active from 16:00 Western Indonesian Time (WIB) until 08:00 WIB the following morning, a period assessed as prone to security disturbances.
