255th Anniversary Ceremony: Mahayastra Urges Gianyar Residents to Support Bali Provincial Government Programmes

Regent of Gianyar, I Made Agus Mahayastra, has urged the residents of Gumi Seni to support the programmes and strategic steps of the Bali Provincial Government. Mahayastra conveyed this during the peak ceremony of the 255th Anniversary of Gianyar City at the Gianyar City Square.

Mahayastra stated that several strategic measures requiring the support of Gianyar’s community include strengthening digital-based governance, controlling land use conversion, source-based waste management, quality tourism arrangement, development of environmentally friendly transportation, and enhancing security and order.

All these programmes are expected to receive full support from various parties, ranging from government, traditional villages, community figures, academics, to the business world. With a spirit of mutual cooperation, Gianyar and Bali are believed to be capable of facing global challenges and realising physical and spiritual welfare for the community.

“Development in Gianyar Regency is also an integral part of Bali’s development through the vision of Nangun Sat Kerthi Loka Bali with a planned universal development pattern grounded in the values of local wisdom Sad Kerthi,” said Mahayastra in his statement on Sunday (19/4/2026).

Mahayastra added that this 255th anniversary commemoration of Gianyar is linked with the Gianyar Cultural Week, which runs for approximately two weeks. Various activities and art performances have received high enthusiasm from the public.

“We continue to support the preservation of culture. The government cannot operate alone; it needs synergy with the community to advance and preserve Gianyar’s artistic works,” explained Mahayastra.
