25 Firefighters Extinguish Blazing Ship in Muara Baru, North Jakarta

A total of 25 personnel from the North Jakarta and Kepulauan Seribu Fire and Rescue Service (Gulkarmat) extinguished a fire on a ship undergoing repairs at Muara Baru Pier, Jalan Tuna Raya, Penjaringan, North Jakarta, on Wednesday evening. “We deployed five fire engines and 25 personnel to extinguish the fire,” said Gatot Sulaeman, Head of Operations for the North Jakarta and Kepulauan Seribu Gulkarmat Sub-department, in Jakarta on Wednesday. He stated that residents reported the fire at 7.58 p.m. Western Indonesian Time, and officers immediately proceeded to the location to carry out the extinguishing operation. “The object on fire is a ship, and the extinguishing process is still ongoing,” Gatot revealed.
