Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Ministry of Social Affairs has recorded around 25,000 new beneficiary families (KPM) prepared for inclusion in the second quarter 2026 social assistance (bansos) distribution list, as per the latest data updates.

Social Affairs Minister Saifullah Yusuf, after a meeting with the Head of the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) at the Ministry of Social Affairs office in Jakarta on Monday, stated that this addition is part of the results from the volume two update of the National Integrated Social Economic Data (DTSEN) conducted by the BPS team.

According to him, out of 77,014 families previously without decile or ranking in the National Single Social Economic Data (DTSEN), 27,176 families have been classified through field verification processes.

Of that number, 25,665 families fall into decile groups 1-4 and are potential social assistance recipients, while the remaining 1,511 families are in deciles 5 to 10 or ineligible for aid.

“The data updates are conducted periodically to improve accuracy and ensure social assistance reaches the right targets,” he said.

In addition to new recipients, they have also recorded 11,014 KPM removed from the social assistance recipient list due to inclusion errors or being outside the target group.

As a form of transparency in social assistance distribution, Saifullah assured that his ministry has opened a complaint channel for the public to file objections regarding recipient status, accompanied by supporting evidence.

The DTSEN updates have also been integrated with population data from the Directorate General of Population and Civil Registration to strengthen data validity.

“Through these steps, the Ministry of Social Affairs ensures that the second quarter 2026 social assistance distribution is more accurate, transparent, and on target,” he stated.
