Jakarta — Some 240 passengers departed from Lebak Bulus Terminal in South Jakarta, ahead of Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah.

“Lebak Bulus Terminal has dispatched 240 passengers using 27 inter-city coaches,” said Irwansyah, Commander of Lebak Bulus Terminal Regiment at the terminal in South Jakarta on Friday.

He stated that the busiest routes were towards Cirebon, Jepara, Solo, Wonosobo, and Madura.

At Lebak Bulus Terminal, he said, congestion occurred from 05:30 to 08:00 WIB.

“This morning, homebound travellers heading to West Java, Central Java, and East Java began departing,” Irwansyah said.

According to him, passenger increases would continue throughout the afternoon, around 15:00 to 18:00 WIB, given that the extended holiday period was approaching.

“Based on our projections, a significant increase will be felt starting 15-16 March 2026,” Irwansyah said.

“Starting today, we have activated command posts. Hopefully with these posts in place, the situation will become more conducive, and passengers will be safer and more comfortable,” Irwansyah said.

Meanwhile, one passenger bound for Cirebon, Asep Saepudin, said he chose to return home earlier to avoid traffic congestion on the road.

“My work in Jakarta has been completed, so I am going home early to spend more time with my family in the village,” Asep said.
