23rd Anniversary of Balangan Regency, Regent Abdul Hadi: Strengthen Resolve, Give the Best for the Community
NATIONAL INFO - Happy birthday to Balangan Regency. Today, Balangan Regency turns 23 years old. Regent Abdul Hadi pledged to continue carrying out his mandate as a leader in Balangan Regency to the best of his ability and with full responsibility.
“Happy 23rd birthday to Balangan Regency. I extend my utmost thanks for the mandate given to me,” said Regent Abdul Hadi.
In this 23rd anniversary celebration, Balangan Regency once again adopts the theme “Balangan Baharat”, interpreted as the spirit to continue growing and moving forward. “The theme ‘Baharat’ is not just a slogan, but reflects our collective resolve to keep improving, strengthening development in various sectors, and enhancing the quality of life for the community,” he stated.
Regent Abdul Hadi also hoped that the people of Balangan Regency would support development in the regency. “The positive attitude of the community serves as support for the programmes we launch,” he said.
He hopes that at the age of 23, it can be on par with other regencies in South Kalimantan. “We hope for guidance, direction, and support from central government programmes and ministries to reach Balangan,” he remarked.
Regent Abdul Hadi also thanked the internal local government apparatus for performing well, enabling development in Balangan Regency to proceed. “My hope to the government apparatus is to continue strengthening resolve and giving the best for the people of Balangan Regency,” he said. “Everyone’s spirit to keep working and focusing.”
As a gift for Balangan Regency’s 23rd year, Regent Abdul Hadi will motivate all ranks in his government to truly embody and implement the tagline ‘Sanggam’ (Sanggup Bagawi Gasan Masyarakat, meaning the capability to carry out work (development) based on sincerity for the community).
Furthermore, Regent Abdul Hadi assured that all his programmes will continue to be implemented despite limitations due to efficiencies from the central government. “Whoever the regent is in the future, right now I am developing the human resources (HR) of Balangan Regency, preparing them from an early stage, because if our HR have broad insights and the spirit to develop their region, then Balangan will also continue to advance,” he stated.
On Monday, 6 April 2026, the Balangan Regency Government held a hajat prayer to welcome the 23rd anniversary of the Balangan Regency Government at the Al-Akbar Mosque in Balangan, South Paringin. Later, at the peak of the 23rd Balangan Regency anniversary celebration, Regent Abdul Hadi said there will be a Balangan Expo and various other activities.
Regent Abdul Hadi also invited all parties, both government, private sector, and the community, to jointly ensure the success of the series of events. Especially, through this momentum, the local government hopes that development in Balangan can continue sustainably and provide tangible benefits for the community.
