236,000 People Use Jabodetabek KRL on H+2 Lebaran
Jakarta (ANTARA) - KAI Commuter recorded 236,923 people using the Commuter Line or electric rail train (KRL) in Jabodetabek on Monday, or H+2 of Lebaran. “Commuter Line Basoetta had 2,737 users, and Commuter Line Merak had 8,736 users,” said VP Corporate Secretary of KAI Commuter Karina Amanda in Jakarta on Monday. She stated that the highest passenger volume was at integrated stations, namely Bogor Station with 32,080 people, followed by Jakarta Kota Station with 13,226 people. Then, Cikarang Station (12,518 passengers), Sudirman Station (11,056 passengers), Cawang Station (6,483 passengers), Tanah Abang Station (8,129 passengers), and Manggarai Station (841 passengers). Karina said that this increase indicates the high interest of the public in utilising integrated public transport as the main mode of holiday travel. According to her, cumulatively, the total passenger volume for KAI Commuter during the Lebaran transport period of 11-22 March 2026 was 11,589,375 people for the Jabodetabek Commuter Line, 103,246 people for the Basoetta Commuter Line, and 179,376 people for the Merak Commuter Line. “This achievement was also marked by a record transit user volume at Manggarai Station reaching 201,617 people on 22 March during the Lebaran transport period,” said Karina. “Tickets for the Merak Commuter Line can already be booked seven days before (H-7) the departure schedule, through the Access By KAI application,” revealed Karina. KAI Commuter also urged all users to manage their travel time well, follow the instructions of station officers, and always keep an eye on their belongings, children, and personal safety.
