23 Semarang Officially Opens, Strengthens Digital Payment System
The 23 Semarang Shopping Center, a new shopping centre and lifestyle destination, has officially opened its doors, partnering with YUKK Payment Gateway as its official digital payment partner to strengthen the transaction ecosystem within the area. The shopping centre, which opened on Saturday (23/5), is managed by PT Indonesian Paradise Property Tbk (Paradise Indonesia) and stands on 65,000 square metres of land within the POJ City (Pearl of Java) mega superblock on Jalan Puri Anjasmoro Blok F1, Tawangsari, West Semarang. Carrying the theme ‘Semarang Starts Here’, 23 Semarang adopts a mixed-use lifestyle retail destination concept that combines shopping, entertainment, culinary offerings, and community spaces in one integrated area. More than 200 tenants from the culinary, fashion, beauty, and household goods sectors are present to serve the public. Paradise Indonesia Director and CFO, Surina, stated that 23 Semarang is designed not only as a shopping centre but also as a public space for the community to gather and interact. ‘We present 23 Semarang not merely as a shopping centre, but as a lifestyle sanctuary designed to offer a spatial experience that is more open, warm, and connected to nature and the community, which will continue to grow alongside the people of Semarang,’ said Surina. To complement the culinary experience, 23 Semarang features a food court managed by ID Kitchen Projection with two distinct concepts: Bak&Co for non-halal cuisine and Eateria for halal cuisine. ID Kitchen Projection Director, Tommy, explained that the concept was developed together with Cornerstone Indonesia to present a blend of modern design with legendary culinary offerings. ‘The Eateria and Bak&Co concepts are from Ms Amelia Gozali, the owner of Cornerstone Indonesia. She wanted to present a food court that combines a modern concept with authentic, legendary foods. We collaborated to bring those tenants here to 23 Semarang,’ said Tommy. According to him, the separation of halal and non-halal areas is intended to provide comfort for all visitors. ‘Muslim visitors need not worry. Everything, from plates, spoons, and forks, down to the washing, has been separated,’ he stated. To support seamless transactions across all food court tenants, ID Kitchen Projection has engaged YUKK Payment Gateway as the official payment partner. Through the QRIS system, visitors can make payments using various digital wallet and mobile banking applications. Tommy admitted to having long used YUKK services across various payment ecosystems he manages. ‘There is no need to doubt YUKK. The payments are accurate, never off the mark, and communication is easy. The tenants here also already know YUKK and greatly appreciate the service provided,’ he said. Meanwhile, Co-Founder & Chief Marketing Officer of YUKK Payment Gateway, Ngo Agustino, said the collaboration is part of the company’s commitment to supporting transaction digitisation in the retail and culinary sectors. ‘We are proud to be trusted once again by ID Kitchen Projection to support digital transactions at Bak&Co and Eateria in 23 Semarang Shopping Center. Drawing on our experience in various food courts and shopping centres, we aim to deliver a payment system that is easy for visitors to use while supporting operational efficiency for tenants,’ said Ngo. Previously, YUKK Payment Gateway had also provided digital payment systems in a number of shopping centres and large venues, such as Summarecon Mall Serpong, Mall @ Alam Sutera, 23 Paskal, NICE PIK, ICE BSD, and Living World Alam Sutera, as well as supporting various festivals, music concerts, and sporting events across different regions in Indonesia. The collaboration at 23 Semarang is expected to further strengthen the digital payment ecosystem while enhancing transaction convenience for the public.
