JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - PT Tracon Industri, an industrial operation and maintenance (O&M) solutions company and part of the Pupuk Indonesia Group, has recorded more than 23 million safe working hours without workplace accidents, underscoring the importance of discipline in Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) as a concrete way to reduce risks in projects with varying levels of hazard.

PT Tracon Industri’s President Director, Muhammad Badri Halim, stressed that this achievement is not merely a statistical figure but the result of a strongly embedded safety culture within the company.

“This is about the lives of workers returning home to their families. This is real proof that workplace safety is the foundation, not an obstacle to productivity,” he stated in a press release on Friday (24/4/2026).

“Going forward, we will continue to enhance strict HSE standards across all operational lines as part of sustainable business performance,” he added.

According to Badri, collective discipline is the main key, from field workers to the board of directors.

“The slogan ‘Safety Starts With Me!’ is not just a wall poster, but real actions that always reflect full commitment, creating a safe work environment and continuously increasing these safe working hours in the coming years,” he asserted.

This achievement is an accumulation from 2010 to 31 March 2026, involving more than 109,580 workers across around 30 active projects with risk levels ranging from low to high. All projects are carried out in accordance with applicable safety standards.

This accomplishment reflects the company’s consistency in implementing an integrated HSE management system across all operational lines, both at the head office and in the field. Efforts to strengthen the safety culture are carried out through training, socialisation, and ongoing campaigns.

Safety campaigns are also reinforced through HSE Golden Rules, HSE Handbook, safety moments, HSE News publications, posters, and the installation of signs and banners in work areas.

As a form of compliance with regulations, PT Tracon Industri has obtained SMK3 Certification (Government Regulation 50/2012), ISO 45001:2018 for occupational health and safety management systems, and ISO 14001:2015 for environmental management.
