Residents no longer need to wait for their birthday to receive health checks. Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Cilandak Sub-District Health Centre in South Jakarta has recorded 23,927 residents utilising the Free Health Check (CKG) service as an early detection effort for diseases within the community. “This data covers the period from January to April this year, with the number of people undergoing CKG to date reaching around 10% of the annual target of 46%,” said the Head of the Cilandak Sub-District Health Centre, Sunersi Handayani, when met during the CKG service at the Cilandak Health Centre in Jakarta on Wednesday. According to Sunersi, CKG is a screening initiative to identify community health conditions as early as possible. The programme aims to ensure that if health issues are found, they can be addressed more quickly and accurately. She added that the programme, initially launched as a birthday gift from the President, has now transformed. Currently, residents no longer need to wait for their birthday to receive health checks. “The CKG service is now open to anyone and divided into two main categories: the quick CKG package and the comprehensive CKG package,” she said. Meanwhile, the comprehensive CKG is conducted at the health centre with more thorough examinations, including laboratory tests and dental health. This check-up takes about half a day. “So, residents who have previously followed the quick package will be prioritised to receive invitations via WhatsApp to join the comprehensive package,” she explained. The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) targets CKG coverage to reach 46% by 2026. This follows an evaluation of similar programme implementation throughout 2025. In the first year, the CKG Programme was joined by 70.8 million people, or 24.9% of Indonesia’s total population.
