220 Sacrificial Animals from Jakarta Provincial Government for Taman Sari Fire Victims
The Jakarta Provincial Government will distribute a total of 220 sacrificial animals for Eid al-Adha 1447 Hijriyah (2026) to residents affected by the September 2025 Taman Sari fire in West Jakarta. The animals comprise 210 cattle and 10 goats. Rano delivered the sacrificial animals on behalf of Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung at Jalan Ibrahim, Gang Langgar, Taman Sari. ‘Yes, I’m currently at two distribution points, but in total, nearly 210 cattle have been distributed across Jakarta,’ he said. In addition to distributing sacrificial animals, the Jakarta Provincial Government has also prepared animal health inspection teams and halal slaughter officers for Eid al-Adha. Sacrificial animals that fail health inspections are not permitted to be slaughtered. ‘If any animals are found that may not pass inspection, there is no tolerance for sacrificing them. That means they must be set aside,’ he said.
