22 Tambora residents receive land certificates through BPN's PTSL programme

A total of 22 West Jakarta residents have received land title certificates through the National Land Agency’s Complete Systematic Land Registration programme, in line with the Jakarta Regional Legislative Council’s efforts to oversee the completion of certificate processing for residents whose cases remain unresolved.

Jamilah Abdul Gani, a member of the Special Committee on Agrarian Reform and PTSL and a member of the Jakarta DPRD, said that following the committee’s formation, it immediately coordinated with all BPN offices in Jakarta.

“Alhamdulillah, through coordination with BPN, today we are finally able to hand over 22 certificates in West Jakarta,” Jamilah Abdul Gani said when confirmed in Jakarta on Wednesday.

According to Jamilah, despite the handover of 22 land certificates to West Jakarta residents, many more have yet to complete the processing of their land rights.

“Therefore, the Jakarta DPRD’s Special Committee on Agrarian Reform and PTSL will continue to oversee the process,” she said.

Meanwhile, West Jakarta Mayor Iin Mutmainnah explained that PTSL is one of the central government’s flagship programmes aimed at providing legal certainty and protection to citizens.

However, because many residents have still not completed the process, Iin urged all sub-district and urban village heads in West Jakarta to help oversee the programme.

“There is still a lot of work to be done; in some other areas there are still outstanding cases. Sub-district and urban village heads must continue to monitor and check how many residents still need assistance and have not yet completed the process,” she stressed.

Furthermore, Head of the West Jakarta BPN Office Shinta Purwitasari also confirmed that there are still West Jakarta residents who have not completed their land certificate processing under the PTSL programme.

“This is partly because some programme participants have not yet completed or fulfilled the required documents,” she said.

Therefore, Shinta said, coordination with the Jakarta DPRD is necessary so that the public can complete the requirements needed in the certificate processing.

“The key is that it must be clear and clean juridically. Since 2017, PTSL has completed certificates for a total of 41,724 land parcels,” she added.
