A total of 217 residents in Kampung Parakan Muncang, Parakan Muncang Village, Nanggung District, Bogor Regency, West Java, have been affected by drought. The incident was caused by a decline in rainfall intensity.

The Head of Emergency and Logistics at the Bogor Regency BPBD, M Adam Hamdani, stated that this condition has led to a reduction in the residents’ water sources. He said that as a result, residents are struggling to meet their clean water needs.

“Due to the declining rainfall intensity in the area, the residents’ water springs have diminished, and they are having difficulty fulfilling their clean water requirements,” Adam said on Saturday (13/6/2026).

Adam noted that 60 families, comprising 217 individuals, have been impacted by the drought. BPBD officers distributed clean water aid on Friday (12/6).

“The affected victims in Kampung Parakan Muncang number 60 families with 217 individuals,” he clarified.

A total of 5,000 litres of clean water was distributed by officers to the affected residents. For the time being, the remaining water is being stored in a holding tank.

“For now, the clean water needs have been distributed to the community, and the remaining water in the tanker has been stored in the mosque’s water reservoir for the residents in that area,” he concluded.
