215 Santri Enthusiastically Join Palace for Schoolchildren Programme

A total of 215 santri from Pondok Pesantren Asshiddiqiyah Jakarta and Pondok Pesantren Al-Wathoniyah Pusat Jakarta enthusiastically participated in the Istana untuk Anak Sekolah programme at the Presidential Palace complex in Jakarta on Tuesday. The atmosphere was filled with excitement and joy as the students arrived to learn more about the centre of Indonesian governance. During the activity, the santri were introduced to the Presidential Palace environment and its role as the heart of the nation’s administration. Participants had the opportunity to see several areas within the complex and received explanations about the country’s strategic decision-making processes under President Prabowo Subianto. The visit also served as an educational tool to introduce governance from an early age, while fostering a spirit of ambition, achievement, and future service to the nation. The programme is open to students from various educational levels, including schools, madrasahs, and Islamic boarding schools from across Indonesia. Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya stated that opening the Presidential Palace to students reflects President Prabowo’s desire to provide young people with direct experience of the nation’s history and governance. The visit of the 215 santri is hoped to inspire the younger generation and nurture future Indonesian leaders.
