21 Trucks Caught in Illegal Parking Raid on Jalan Cargo Denpasar

Denpasar’s Transport Department (Dishub) took action against freight trucks parked on the shoulder of Cargo Road in Ubung Kaja, North Denpasar, on Monday morning (20/7/2026). A total of 21 vehicles were caught in the operation.

“We gave instructions to park at the owners’ warehouses or at the Dishub freight depot. Meanwhile, four trucks were stickered because their drivers were not with the vehicles,” said the Head of the Law Enforcement Section at Denpasar’s Dishub, Putu Eddy Candra Ningrat, when contacted by detikBali on Monday morning.

According to Eddy, the crackdown was carried out because parking on the shoulder of Cargo Road risks disrupting the smooth flow of traffic. Given the high volume of vehicles on the road, truck drivers were urged not to park their vehicles indiscriminately.

The operation involved 10 Dishub personnel deployed after the morning roll call. The activity forms part of the supervision and control of traffic and road transport policy implementation in Denpasar.

“We have issued appeals for order and compliance with the instructions given. Signage enforcement was also carried out for the sake of public safety,” he added.

Meanwhile, regarding plans for a freight terminal in Denpasar, he said: “It is still being finalised. Hopefully there will be a solution on this matter.”
