2027 Indicative Budget Ceiling Reaches Rp 28.34 Trillion, Minister Dudy Proposes Additional Rp 20.11 Trillion

Minister of Transportation Dudy Purwagandhi stated that the Ministry of Transportation has received an indicative budget ceiling of Rp 28.34 trillion for the 2027 fiscal year. “The Ministry of Transportation has obtained an indicative budget ceiling for the 2027 fiscal year of Rp 28.34 trillion,” Dudy said during a working meeting with Commission V of the Indonesian House of Representatives in Senayan, Jakarta, on Wednesday, 17 June 2026. In terms of programmes, Dudy explained that the composition of the indicative ceiling consists of the connectivity infrastructure programme at Rp 19.10 trillion, or 67.38 per cent. This is followed by the management support programme at Rp 7.60 trillion, or 26.84 per cent, and the education and vocational programme at Rp 1.63 trillion, or 5.78 per cent. Dudy also explained that the 2027 indicative ceiling of Rp 28.34 trillion, when compared to the strategic plan funding indication for 2027 of Rp 46.21 trillion, has a gap of Rp 17.87 trillion, or approximately 38.67 per cent. When compared to the required budget ceiling for 2027 of Rp 55.16 trillion, there is a gap of Rp 26.82 trillion, or 48.62 per cent. “From the indicative ceiling of Rp 28.34 trillion, there are several unmet needs for the implementation of national transportation,” Dudy said. “These budget requirements consist of safety support of Rp 7.98 trillion, service support of Rp 9.17 trillion, pioneer services of Rp 957 billion, and personnel expenditure of Rp 2 trillion.” Consequently, Dudy proposed an additional budget of Rp 20.11 trillion, directed towards ensuring the fulfilment of safety aspects, public services, regional connectivity, and the ministry’s operational sustainability.
