2026 Update on Semarang-Jakarta Toll Rates: Here Are the Details
Travellers returning to the capital from Central Java, particularly Semarang, should prepare their travel expenses carefully, especially when traversing the lengthy Trans-Java Toll Road sections.
According to data from the Toll Road Regulatory Body (BPJT), the toll fee from Semarang to Jakarta for Group I vehicles (private cars) amounts to hundreds of thousands of rupiah, depending on the sections traversed during the journey.
The total toll fee is an accumulation of several connected toll sections, rather than a single fee from the starting point to the final destination.
For the route from Semarang to Jakarta, the journey typically begins at the Kalikangkung Toll Gate on the Batang-Semarang section with a fee of Rp 144,500.
Next, travellers will pass through the Pemalang-Batang Toll with a fee of Rp 53,000, then Pejagan-Pemalang at Rp 66,000, and Kanci-Pejagan at Rp 31,500.
The journey continues to the Palimanan-Kanci section with a fee of Rp 13,500, followed by Cikampek-Palimanan at Rp 132,000.
Finally, vehicles enter the Jakarta-Cikampek section with a fee of Rp 27,000 before arriving in the Jakarta area.
When accumulated, the total toll fee from Semarang to Jakarta reaches approximately Rp 467,500 for Group I vehicles.
With this amount, travellers are advised to ensure their electronic money balance is sufficient before entering the toll road.
This is important to avoid obstacles during transactions at toll gates, particularly amid the increased vehicle volume during the post-Eid return flow.
