2026 National Genre Ambassadors Commit to Positive Impact for Youth and Environment
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Ministry of Population and Family Development (Kemendukbangga)/BKKBN has inaugurated the 2026 National Genre Ambassadors, who are committed to delivering a positive impact for adolescents and their surrounding environments.
The pair of 2026 National Genre Ambassadors, hailing from Central Java and West Java, were inaugurated by the Minister of Population and Head of BKKBN, Wihaji, during the peak event of the 2026 National Genre Creativity Jamboree (Adujaknas) at the Ministry’s office in Jakarta on Tuesday.
The 2026 National Genre Ambassador pair consists of Arya Fatikh Izzan Juwery (Central Java) and Roidah A’isy Shofwah (West Java), who emerged victorious after competing against more than 60 participants representing 34 provinces across Indonesia.
“Our vision after being selected is certainly not just to hold a title, but to be part of making an impact on society. Through these small hands, I hope I can provide assistance and help to Indonesian adolescents,” said Arya.
Meanwhile, Shofwah, the female winner of the 2026 National Genre Ambassadors, admitted that she previously believed that to be accepted by society, one needed to receive awards or hold a certain status.
“However, that all changed since I encountered the Youth Information and Counselling Centre (PIK-R). I realised that to be accepted, I do not need awards or a specific status; therefore, I am grateful to my first home, the Sukmajaya District Genre Forum,” she said.
“I stand here not because we are better, but because of the support from the Indonesia Genre Forum. Through this, we hope to embrace all our adolescent peers towards the Golden Indonesia 2045 vision,” she added.
Furthermore, the Minister of Population and Head of BKKBN, Wihaji, stated that the Genre programme continues to campaign for three key pillars to realise a high-quality generation for Indonesia Emas 2045: avoiding free sex, preventing early marriage, and abstaining from drugs.
“These are the three issues that they campaign for every day on the ground, specifically regarding planned generation issues,” he remarked.
