2026 Mudik Traffic Flow: National One-Way System Begins Wednesday at 12:00 WIB

Jakarta — The National Traffic Police (Korlantas Polri) will begin implementing a nationwide one-way traffic management system from kilometre 70 at Cikampek to kilometre 414 at Kalikangkung on Wednesday afternoon.

“Tomorrow (today), the flag-off for the national one-way mudik system will likely be led by the Transport Minister and will take place at 12:00 WIB,” said Korlantas Polri Commander Agus Suryonugroho at the Command Centre Post at KM 29 Cikampek Toll Road, West Java, on Tuesday evening (17/3/2026).

On Tuesday (17/3/2026), Suryonugroho explained that Korlantas had already implemented the first phase of one-way traffic on a partial basis on the national route from KM 70 to KM 263 beginning at 15:00 WIB.

The policy, he stated, represents a follow-up to the directives of the Police Chief and Transport Minister, as well as the outcome of coordination with Jasa Marga regarding the potential surge in vehicle flow.

“Based on the directives from the Police Chief, Transport Minister, and discussions with the Jasa Marga Director, there is an anticipated increase in traffic flow at 12:00 WIB. For this reason, we are taking steps in accordance with the joint decree,” he said.
