2026 High School Academic Competency Test Schedule: Registration, Simulation, and Examination Dates
The Academic Competency Test (TKA) is a simultaneous examination conducted to measure students’ academic achievements in specific subjects. For students at the SMA/MA (high school) level, the TKA is a critical milestone, as grade 12 students can typically only participate once during their current educational level, unless they fail and are permitted to retake it.
According to the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education, the TKA for the SMA/MA level will be carried out through several stages, ranging from registration and simulations to the main examination period. Based on reports, the Agency for the Implementation of Primary and Secondary Education (BKPDM) has adjusted the duration of the tests to allow students to focus more effectively on the questions.
Schedule for the 2026 SMA/MA Level TKA:
Participant registration: 27 July to 27 September 2026.
Simulation: 21 to 27 September 2026.

The main implementation of the TKA will be conducted in two waves:
Wave I: 26 October to 8 November 2026.
