2026 Economic Census Reaches Riverbank Settlements Along Kahayan River

The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of Palangka Raya has deployed 220 officers to carry out the 2026 Economic Census in various areas, including settlements along the banks of the Kahayan River in Pahandut Seberang, Central Kalimantan, on Saturday (25/7/2026). The data collection targets business operators and households to obtain a current overview of the community’s economic activities as a basis for formulating development policies. Officers are conducting door-to-door visits to ensure the information gathered is accurate and covers all census targets. BPS has urged the public to provide truthful and complete information to support the availability of quality statistical data.
