2026 Catalan MotoGP Practice Results: Acosta Sets the Fastest Time

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - Pedro Acosta proved he is worthy of competing at the front. The KTM rider was the fastest in the 2026 Catalan MotoGP practice session.

Acosta set his fastest time with 1 minute 38.710 seconds. His time was only slightly ahead of Alex Marquez, who was in second place, with a difference of only 0.018 seconds.

Brad Binder successfully moved up nine positions and held onto third place. Meanwhile, fourth place was taken by Raul Fernandez, who managed to move up 11 positions.

Johann Zarco was the fastest Honda rider this time, finishing in fifth place. Meanwhile, sixth place was taken by Fabio Di Giannantonio, who has maintained fairly consistent performance.

Francesco Bagnaia and Ai Ogura finished in 12th and 13th place. Both managed to improve their times by moving up five positions.

Jorge Martin dropped to 17th place after a significant crash. All riders who finished in the top ten in this session will automatically qualify for the Q2 session. The rest will have to compete in Q1 first.
