2026: Building Materials Retail Still Relies on Home Renovation Segment
Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – PT Catur Sentosa Adiprana Tbk (CSAP), a distributor of building materials, chemicals, and modern retail operations (Mitra10 & Atria), maintains optimism regarding building materials business prospects in 2026.
Achmad Widjaja, Commissioner of PT Catur Sentosa Adiprana Tbk (CSAP), stated that the company’s 58 stores currently rely heavily on the home renovation market segment, whilst the new housing development market has yet to provide adequate sales support.
Amid global economic and geopolitical turbulence, the building materials industry continues to depend predominantly on local products. However, imported products, which comprise approximately 30% of supply, still require regulatory certainty.
As a distribution business for consumer goods ranging from food to building materials, CSAP seeks government support in accelerating growth across related business sectors, including food and beverage manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, metal goods, transport equipment, textiles, and basic metals industries. Should these related sectors achieve growth, CSAP, as a product retail distributor, is positioned to grow correspondingly.
