The Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR) has approved the Accountability Report for the 2025 State Budget (APBN) to proceed to the next stage of discussion. Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa attended the DPR Plenary Session where factions generally acknowledged the government’s credible, transparent, and accountable management of the state finances amidst global economic dynamics.

During the session, factions from PDI Perjuangan, Golkar, Gerindra, NasDem, PKB, PKS, PAN, and the Democratic Party delivered their views. While they appreciated the government’s commitment to maintaining the quality of state financial management, they also issued several recommendations. The DPR specifically urged Minister Purbaya to strengthen state revenue collection and optimise the management of the Remaining Budget Surplus (SAL). Other key suggestions included maintaining prudent and sustainable debt management and enhancing the overall quality of fiscal governance.

In his response, Minister Purbaya stated that the 2025 State Budget played a highly strategic role in sustaining national development. He noted that the achievement of an Unqualified Opinion (WTP) on the Central Government Financial Report (LKPP) was not the final goal, but rather a foundation for continuous improvement. Purbaya emphasised the government’s commitment to strengthening fiscal transparency and accountability to ensure the budget remains a credible instrument for development.
