201 Unhas Proposals Approved for BIMA Funding from Kemdiktisaintek 2026
Makassar (ANTARA) - A total of 201 research proposals from Universitas Hasanuddin have obtained funding under the Research and Community Service Grant BIMA Programme from Kemdiktisaintek for 2026. “This consists of 70 continuation fundings (65 research and 5 community service), and 131 new fundings (106 research and 25 community service),” said the Secretary of the Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM) at Unhas, Prof Suharman Hamzah, in Makassar on Monday. He explained that this achievement is inseparable from intensive efforts in providing guidance to proposers, including structured mentoring and strategies for mapping appropriate schemes based on fields of knowledge and proposal readiness. “Various strategies and coordination are continuously carried out optimally. Alhamdulillah, all research schemes offered in the PTNBH (Public University Legal Entity) cluster have been obtained by us this year,” Prof Suharman clarified. “Research must be prepared well from the start. Moving forward, we will continue to encourage lecturers to submit proposals for various other available schemes, and improve quality based on feedback from reviewers,” he stated. As a form of ongoing commitment, LPPM Unhas will continue to provide guidance for proposals that have not yet succeeded in obtaining funding. Improvements will be carried out systematically so that they can be resubmitted in the next period with better quality. “We do not stop at this achievement. On the contrary, we will continue to push for improvements in proposal quality to be increasingly competitive in various funding schemes,” he emphasised. The total proposals submitted by Unhas to the BIMA Programme this year reached 1,057 research titles and 120 community service titles. The high number of submissions reflects the enthusiasm and productivity of the academic community in developing quality research and service. Regarding the total funding received, official information has not yet been announced as of now. The funding amount will later be released by the relevant ministry and communicated through the respective participant accounts in the next two weeks. The BIMA research funding is a scheme provided by Kemdiktisaintek to support the implementation of research and community service at universities. This programme not only functions as a management system but also serves as the main platform for distributing grants that cover various research and service schemes.
