200 Job Seekers Attend "Career Day" in South Jakarta
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Around 200 job seekers attended the “Career Day 2026” organised by the South Jakarta Manpower, Transmigration, and Energy Sub-Department (Nakertransgi). “This event is important to help job seekers improve their readiness, competencies, and confidence in entering the workforce,” said the Head of the South Jakarta Nakertransgi Sub-Department, Syamwil, during the Career Day 2026 at the Dirgantara Room, South Jakarta City Hall office, on Friday. Syamwil stated that the event represents the government’s commitment to directly connecting job seekers with the business world and industry. According to him, current labour challenges are increasingly dynamic in line with technological developments and the ever-changing needs of industry. Syamwil explained that the event, running from 08:00 to 15:00 WIB, featured several companies conducting on-the-spot walk-in interviews directly with job seekers. “Some of the participating companies include Fitness First Indonesia, Kredivo, and Permodalan Nasional Madani (PNM),” he said. The Career Day also aims to open wider access to information on job opportunities, while providing space for career consultations, guidance, and information about the working world for the public. “We hope that job seekers can make the most of this opportunity. May this event provide tangible benefits and open broader job opportunities so that the unemployment rate in Jakarta can be reduced,” he added. Meanwhile, one of the job seekers, Fahira (20), said she participated in the event to undergo a walk-in interview at Fitness First. “In my opinion, this event is quite good for job seekers because the flow is clear and we are well guided. I hope other job seekers can also get jobs through this Career Day,” she said.
