2-year-old child found dead in Bekasi with multiple stab wounds and facial lacerations
A two-year-old child was found dead under distressing circumstances in Jatisampurna, Bekasi City, West Java. The victim was discovered with multiple stab wounds and a facial laceration. The body was found on Wednesday, 27 May 2026, in a rental house in Jatisampurna. The child was discovered alongside his 18-year-old uncle, identified as G, in the room of the rental property.Police Commissioner Andi Muhammad Iqbal, head of the Bekasi City Metro Police Criminal Investigation Unit, confirmed the findings when contacted by journalists on Thursday, 28 May. “Yes, correct [the victim had stab wounds]. So it’s a rental house with a combined kitchen and room,” he said.Andi stated the victim sustained more than ten stab wounds and lacerations, including on the head, face, body, and groin. ” His cheek was cut open, extending to the mouth,” he added. The uncle also suffered stab wounds to the chest and facial cuts on both cheeks.The uncle is currently receiving medical treatment in critical condition. Police are investigating his possible involvement in the case. ” He is still receiving treatment at the hospital. Currently, we are investigating as he remains a suspect.
